Happy Homemaker Monday

It is Monday again, which means that it’s "Happy Homemaker Monday," a project which is hosted by Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Each week, she hosts "Happy Homemaker Monday" as a way to highlight what is going on in her world. This week I have decided to join in... So here is a little glimpse into my world on this Monday!

The Weather:::
Right now it is around 30 degrees. Nice and cold! But it is supposed to be sunny and around 55 today so I really can't complain.

Right now I am::: Typing this post up, thinking about the days plans. Jacob is sitting in the recliner watching cartoons; Benjamin is digging around in the toy bins and sliding toys all over the floor. Somewhat of a normal Monday morning at our house.

Thinking:::that I have a lot that I want to do, but not sure if I have time. That the laundry should be done in the washer so I need to go flip that.

On my reading pile:::
The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks
Every Day a Friday by Joel Osteen

On my TV::: On Saturday night, Bill and I started watching DVRed episodes of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and now I am addicted. It is a really good show. I don't like shows with a lot of murder and grossness, and this does not have that at all so it is good for me. Bill teases me that there is actually a network show now that I like! We have one more episode to watch then the new episode is on Tuesday night.

On the menu for this week:::Last night I made a mini Thanksgiving meal---Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, gravy and crescent rolls with chocolate pudding and whipped cream for dessert. Tonight I think I will keep it simple and make tacos and spanish rice. And the rest of the week looks like this:

Monday: Tacos and Spanish rice
Tuesday: Chicken, potatoes and carrots in oven (new recipe)
Wednesday: Fish sticks, baked potato, peas, fruit
Thursday: Out to dinner (Wendy's) which is our post trick or treat tradition
Friday: Frozen Pizza and veggies
Saturday: ??????? Not sure yet ??????
Sunday: Lasagna (going to attempt to make this homemade)

On my to do list:::Laundry, Laundry, and more laundry
Catch up on my book reviews and schedule to post (I have 4 books that I have read to review, just need to review them!)
Fill out HEAP application and mail in
Figure out budget for November

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating::: Saturday I experimented with a couple of recipes and came up with a banana, pumpkin, chocolate chip muffins. I didn't care for them but the kids LOVED them.

Looking around the house:::There are toys everywhere...thanks to Benjamin...There is laundry downstairs to do, clean dishes that need to be put away in the kitchen, and breakfast dishes in the sink that need to go in the dishwasher.

From the camera:::

On my prayer list:::All people who are dealing with cancer in their lives. Those children whose parents don't make an effort to be a parent to them.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

" Cast all your anxieties on Him, for he cares about you." 1 Peter 5:7

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  3. I have toys all over the house too. It used to bother me so much but I keep reminding myself that someday the kids will be grown and there won't be toys or little ones running around so I'm doing all I can to just enjoy these moments (even though I like to have a clean home -- lol). Oh and I have a ton of laundry to do as well. Dropping in from Sandra's HHM. Your kids are cute by the way!
