Catholic School's Week 2014

This past week the Kindergarten through Eighth grades at Rebecca and Jacob's school have been celebrating Catholic School's Week with a bunch of fun activities and spirit days thrown in. The week's theme days were chosen by the eighth grade class and some of the activities included a week long scavenger hunt, a Catholic squares game, Mass and Lunch with their school families, a live checker tournament, and a volleyball pep rally.

Each day was also a dress down theme day, except for Wednesday, which was a school mass day. Rebecca enjoyed getting to dress down and show her spirit.

Monday was "Mismatch Day."

Tuesday was "Dress as your favorite movie character"
Rebecca dressed as Queen Elsa from "Frozen."

Wednesday was a uniform day because of Mass.
Thursday was "Spirit Day"
The kids were supposed to wear the school colors of blue and yellow.

Friday was "Dress as your favorite royal court character."
Rebecca was originally going to wear her Elsa costume again, but decided late last night she wanted to wear her fancy red dress. Of course she didn't have a tiara to match, so I fashioned her one out of red pipe cleaners and gold beads. She was so surprised this morning and said she loved it! I think it turned out really cute.

Overall, it was a fun week for Rebecca and for me it was neat seeing all the kids' personalities come out in their outfits and choices.
