Weekend recap-- applesauce and a birthday party

Saturday, it was rainy and icky outside most of the day. In fact, there was also times of ice and snow pellets coming down. Saturday morning I ran to the farmers market and bought 6 bags of apples, peppers, zucchini, green beans, tomatoes among other things. I haven't been at all this summer and knew this was probably going to be my only chance to go. So Saturday was spent processing veggies for the freezer, cleaning as party of my decluttering challenge, and making a cake for my nephew's birthday party on Sunday.

On Sunday, Rebecca and I went to church as her American Heritage Girls troop was going to sit together at mass. We had 9 girls show up so that was great. After mass, I loaded up the back of the van with a load of donations for Goodwill, which we dropped off as we were heading out to  my parent's house for my nephew's birthday party. It was a fun afternoon. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. My sister came home for the weekend from college, and the kids LOVED seeing her!

Overall, it was a busy but good weekend! Hope everyone had a great weekend as well.
