I love vegetables. My family loves most vegetables. But I find that I am getting in a rut when it comes to preparation of said vegetables. Added to the fact that our life has been crazy busy and it is a struggle for me to get dinner on the table in a timely manner when I am trying to feed the kids and hubby a healthy dinner. (Especially hard when I get home at 6:05 from work each night and am trying to get dinner on the table by 6:30 at the latest!)
Enter new Green Giant Seasoned Steamers!
Available in six different varieties, Green Giant Seasoned Steamers™ are one of
the first sauce-free seasoned vegetables to bring unique chef-inspired
seasonings and premium cut vegetable blends to your dining room table. These tasty Seasoned Steamers are bound to spice up any meal with six
varieties including: Mediterranean Blend, Tuscan Seasoned Broccoli, Brussel
Sprouts with Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper, Honey Roasted Sweet Corn, Honey Dijon
Carrots and Backyard Grilled Potatoes.
I was so excited to receive the opportunity recently to try out some of the new seasoned steamers (courtesy of My Blog Spark!).
I chose to try the Tuscan Seasoned Broccoli (which is broccoli seasoned with parmesan cheese and tuscan seasonings). It was very easy to prepare (microwaved for 7 minutes).
When it was done it was steaming and smelled delicious.
I served with with turkey and cheese crescent rollups for a quick, healthy dinner.
My official review: I thought the broccoli was FABULOUS! There was just the right amount of seasoning and you still got the fresh broccoli taste! I was very impressed. Even my kids loved the broccoli, including my anti-green vegetable son Jacob. I can't wait to try another variety. (The only downside was that there was only enough for the kids and I. Had Bill been eating dinner with us that night I would have had to fix 2 bags!)
These will definitely be a fixture in our freezer for those crazy nights!
