Amish Country Weekend: Last day and Guggisberg Cheese

We spent a weekend in Ohio Amish Country. I am recapping our adventures here. To see what else we did, please visit:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday morning, we slept in a bit and then headed down to the free breakfast at our hotel. Unlike the previous morning, this one was more crowded and the woman working was having a very hard time keeping up with the demand. Many things were empty. However, we were able to finally get some food. This morning they had sausage, instead of bacon but many of the same other offering as the previous morning.

After eating, we went back to the room to pack up, load up the van and check out. We checked out at 10:55 (5 minutes before checkout time of 11.)LOL

We decided to head to check out the Guggisberg cheese place (one of the only places open on Sunday). Well, us and everyone else. We got there shortly after they opened and it was crowded. It was also very underwhelming.

The outside ambiance was nice.

It was small inside (and I didn't take any pictures). I let the kids try some of their cheese and we bought a little bit of baby swiss, Colby and some bruschetta flavored cheese and that was it.

We took one last look at the outside scenery, then headed home, arriving home around 1, when the rain decided to hit. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and just chilling.

Overall, it was a fun weekend. Not necessarily as relaxing as I would have like, but fun non-the-less. I look forward to going back to Amish Country in the future.
