Anyhow, this year's theme was "Christmas at the Movies." There were several Grinch themed floats as well as one's inspired by "The Polar Express." The kids walked with their scouting troops--- Rebecca with her American Heritage Girls troop and the boys with their Trail Life USA troop. The troops worked together and their theme was "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
The kids were 13th in line in the parade, and that meant that there was still a lot of the parade left to go when they were done so they got to enjoy a good portion of it as being spectators as well. And they got to see the jolly guy himself--Santa!
Overall, it was a nice way to spend an hour on Sunday afternoon.

Yes, we have a huge parade. I rode in a parade float once. And, the guy who led the parade wanted my son to walk with him because of his costume. I made my husband walk the sidelines the whole way because Jeff was only three and I was afraid he could not walk the two miles. He was fine. My husband was about dead.
