Happy Homemaker Monday

I am joining Sandra today over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for her Happy Homemaker Monday theme!

This weekend was VERY busy...Rebecca had softball on Friday night, Bill had to run a track all star meet that night, Saturday we had softball again (we were supposed to have soccer too for Jacob but his game was cancelled due to rain) and had to clean house. Sunday I was served breakfast in bed and received a few gifts, we went to church, then out to my parents house and then to lunch and back home where I had to get some laundry done. Bill also mowed the jungle yard. After the kids were in bed, I cut my hubby's hair before calling it a night. This week looks a little less busy, but still busy.

As I look outside my window:::
The sun is out for the moment. It was raining earlier and now the sun is back out. We are supposed to have pop up storms today.

Right now I am:::
Typing out this post, thinking about the things I need to get done to get caught back up with housework.

Thinking and pondering:::
On what the rest of this month looks like. How in a little less than 3.5 weeks school will be out for the summer. Thinking about what plans can I make for summer.

On my bedside table:::
The Bible

Autumn in Carthage by Christopher Zenos
Plain Faith: A True Story of Tragedy, Loss and Leaving the Amish by Ora-Jay and Irene Eash and Tricia Goyer
Meant to be Mine by Becky Wade

On my TV tonight:::

This week I will be watching/dvring "19 Kids and Counting" and "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (season finale) and I will probably be watching LOTS of Cleveland Indians baseball!

Listening to:::
Jacob is watching "Paw Patrol" on the TV. Benjamin is eating his lunch loudly. Cars are hitting puddles in the road.

My simple pleasure:::
Eating cranberry almond chicken salad from Aldi. I discovered it a few weeks ago and man is it good.

Looking around the house:::
The house is in okay shape. There are toys that need picked up and laundry to be done. But considering we have barely had time to sleep this past week it is in okay shape.

From the camera:::

My Mother's Day goodies from Bill and the kiddos

Rebecca made me a handprint in school

Prayer List:::
For Bill, as he job searches. For things going on this week. For our new American Heritage Girl troop--- that we have lots of girls interested and that we have lots of parents interested.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a great Monday!

  1. The Plain Faith book sounds like one I would enjoy, I will have to check it out at my library.

    The Tzatziki chicken salad in pitas sounds SO good, I could eat one right now.

  2. I smiled at the handprint - I have a couple of those and they are over 20 years old - I'll never get rid of them they are too precious! Here it is Friday and you haven't posted again - I'm thinking this week is very busy for you again!
