Book Description:
When a charming polar bear cub climbs into bed one night, she asks her mama a very important question--one that little "human cubs" often wonder about too: "Where did I come from?"
As Mama Bear tucks her young cub under the quilts, she gently, tenderly, and reassuringly communicates the message loving parents everywhere (bears and non-bears alike) want their little ones to hear: "We wanted you very, very much, and we are so very glad because..."God gave us you."
Perfect for bedtime, naptime, storytime, or anytime, God Gave Us You provides a valuable opportunity to build children's self-esteem every day and assure each one that he or she truly is a welcomed, precious, and treasured gift from above.

My thoughts:
God Gave Us You is a charming story perfect for little children. Having a new baby in our household, our daughter Rebecca (age 5) has been full of questions about where her baby brother came from and how he got in my tummy. This is the perfect book to answer those questions in a way that is not lying to her, but at the same time is not giving her the graphic details that she is way too young to understand or need to know. It allows her dad and I to share with her that God gave us each of our children and that from conception to birth and beyond she and her brothers are with us because God gave them to us, just as God gives the polar bear cub to her mommy and daddy. The pictures in this book are adorable and the story is just great for kids in preparation for the arrival of a new sibling or just as an affirmation that God gave them to Mommy and Daddy!
