Gratitude Sunday #5

Over on facebook, many of my family and friends and people that I have been following are taking this month to share things that they are grateful for heading up to Thanksgiving.

I have decided to follow along but in my own on my blog...

Life is so precious and I have been feeling overwhelmed with everything that is going on that often I am not taking the time to be grateful for what I do have and the good things in life.

Now is the time to change that.

I hope to come back here every Sunday and tell things that I am thankful for each day of that week.

This week, I am so thankful for many things:

FOR YUMMY RECIPES: On Monday, we taught the kids how to cook at school. We made mini pumpkin muffins. The kids had a blast and the muffins are SO good! I made some later this week too for home!

FOR SNOW: On Tuesday we got about 3-4 inches of snow and it was oh so pretty. I love snow to look at, but HATE to drive in it. But since I only had to drive in it to get home from work in it, it was okay.

FOR DAYS OFF OF WORK: I got Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off of work for Thanksgiving break. I needed it. I like my job but there is a need to get away from it for a while.

FOR MY DAUGHTER AND SONS: Thursday was my daughter's birthday. She is 7 years old and bright and funny and wonderful. My boys are also wonderful, funny and the light of my life and the cause of some of my grey hairs.

FOR THANKSGIVING: We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal at my parent's house with my brothers, sister and niece and nephews. It was a great evening full of laughter and love.

FOR A LAUNDRY MACHINE THAT WORKS: I had to catch up on laundry and all told I did almost 10 loads of clothes on Friday. It was exhausting but I am blessed to be able to have a working washer and dryer to help me doing my laundry.

FOR FREE SHUTTERFLY PHOTO BOOK CODES: Last Christmas, I made my parents and my in laws a photo book from Shutterfly that chronicled the kids lives from 2006- fall 2012. Well this year I had 2 more free photo book codes that I earned through various outlets and I have been able to order them another photo book of the grandkids from Fall 2012 to Fall 2013.

FOR MY HUSBAND: Who works hard to provide for our family and wants what is best for our family. He is in the process of joining the Catholic Church where we belong, to help unify our family in faith. This morning he was introduced to the church and then on Easter he will fully join the Church.

  1. I am thankful we are all healthy and happy and that Advent is starting! What a joyful time of year!

Congrats to you and yours as your husband gets closer to joining the church. What an exciting process that must be for all of you!

  2. I am thankful I made it through today! I am thankful for you! I am thankful I can't snatch that cute little girl of yours because I would not give her back.

  3. I'm thankful for meeting wonderful friends in the blogging world! I'm thankful for family and friends and all the love that surrounds me.
