101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation (book review)

101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation

Book description:

Collection of well-known and beloved Bible stories written for young independent readers and includes delightful illustrations.
101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation brings together 101 of the most well-known and beloved Bible stories. Written for young independent readers ages 6 and up and featuring colorful original artwork, this storybook Bible is sure to become a favorite. Each story is one page in length and features a picture depicting the main character or event of the story.
Both story and artwork can also provide perfect springboards for further family or child and parent discussion of the rest of the story and its impact on our faith. 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation is ideal for family, school, or church use.
My thoughts:
I am always looking for ways to share Bible stories with my children. Now that Rebecca is getting older (she is 7) I am finding that while she likes the stories from the toddler and preschool Bible books that I have, she is ready for something older and more on her level. Enter 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation by Dan Andreasen. This beautifully illustrated book is geared toward ages 6-10, which is perfect for Rebecca.  I love how Mr. Andreasen condenses each story to one page with a beautiful illustration on the facing page. Makes this book perfect for bedtime reading.
Personally, I am also thrilled that there is a book that covers all the way to Revelation. So much children's Bibles stop at the Resurrection of Jesus, but 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation expands to include a good introduction to the Bible books after Jesus' Resurrection.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to give their children an introduction to the ENTIRE Bible in a beautiful book.
