Today is a sad day in our household. Thomas the Fish, Ben's first pet, went over the rainbow bridge today. He had a good, long life in our home, teasing the cats and bring joy to us as we watched him swim around. He had not been looking well over the last week or so and apparently this morning did not want to swim up to the top of the tank when Ben fed him. Around 1PM, I noticed he was not swimming and was hanging upside down. Ben is upset. We will all miss Thomas.
Too bad. I wonder why he died.
ReplyDeleteI think he developed some sort of infection. I noticed last week he had a growth on his face. When Bill disposed of him, he said there were bumps on one side of body on his fins as well. He also had not been acting like himself the last 2 weeks, preferring to stay underneath a plant in his tank instead of swimming in and out of his favorite house and swimming up towards the top of the tank.
