Happy Monday everyone! Sorry for the late posting today. I had a super busy weekend and really did not plan out a menu until after I got home from picking the kids up from school. I usually plan it either on Saturday or Sunday, but not this weekend. Saturday, I woke up around 9:45am, ate, took my meds, and went back to sleep until 2:45pmish. I was exhausted and just didn't feel good all day. I still sound like Mickey Mouse with my voice.
Yesterday, we had church in the morning and in the afternoon, we attended my brother and his fiancée's gender reveal party for their baby who is due in July. I am getting a new niece! So excited for that. It was a football/softball themed party and my brother got to kick a football that exploded to show the gender.
Then it was home for the Super Bowl, where I fixed a few Super Bowl foods and just chilled. I ended up going to bed after the halftime show. My thoughts on the game are Go Chiefs! I am glad that they won. Chris Stapleton sang one of the best renditions of The National Anthem ever! And the halftime show was ugh in my opinion. I enjoyed the different platforms that Rihanna and her dancers used, however there could have been way less crotch grabbing and butt grabbing. Maybe I am just getting old. At least they were all fully clothed. LOL
Anyhow, that is why I didn't make up my menu plan until this afternoon. But at least I do have a menu plan now! So, let's get onto what we ate and what we will be eating here in our house this week:
I made chicken/rice/broccoli/cheese casserole for Tommy. Wednesday, I will make casserole with potatoes/ham/zucchini. All your food looks great! We did not watch one second of the Super Bowl, but I saw R later, the crotch stroking was gross!
ReplyDeleteThe casseroles sound good!
DeleteOur menu this week is kind of up in the air. We had Hawaiian Bros (chain, not sure it's everywhere?) for dinner last night. I like Rihanna (love her voice) so enjoyed the halftime show but agree with your point. Of course, as I said on Sunday to a friend who also mentioned that, that style of dancing didn't start with her but rather way back in the 80's with Michael Jackson. Still, I wouldn't want to be watching it with young children though it was a mild halftime show compared to some of the past. Of course, the best part of the game was the score ;) Hope you are feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Hawaain Bros. It was milder than some shows but still ugh.
DeleteYay for a new niece! I want to come eat at your house! 😂 You do so great with meal planning and cooking! As I sit here while we had Sonic tonight…just one of those nights when I was too tired. Hope your week is going great!
ReplyDeleteIf you are ever in my area, I would say come on over!
