Happy Homemaker Monday (1/28/2019)

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We were out of the house most of the day Saturday. First at basketball games for the kiddos and then to dinner at our friends' farm. It was good for the soul. Yesterday, I taught PSR, went to church, went to Walmart, then home and did laundry and cleaned house.

Unfortunately today I am babysitting, not feeling great mentally or physically, and dealing with a sick cat. GusGus is having problems going to the bathroom (I think he is constipated) and has thrown up a couple of times. I am going to see if Bill thinks we need to take him to a vet this afternoon. :(

For now, I am taking a few moments to get on with the topics for "Happy Homemaker Monday" (hosted by the lovely Sandra over at "Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.")

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE:::
Right now it is not too bad outside. It is supposed to rain in a little bit. Then turn over to snow. Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to drop throughout the day and then we are in the midst of a polar vortex with wind chills as low as -30. Fun times. NOT! Looks like Tuesday night and Wednesday all day are going to be the worst.

AS I LOOK OUTSIDE MY KITCHEN WINDOW:::

(I thought it might be fun to take a picture every Monday looking out my kitchen window just to see what changes or similarities there are)

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE:::
This morning, I had a brownie that I baked yesterday. Ooops

WHAT AM I WEARING?:::
Today I have on a teal long sleeve tunic top, jeans, Captain America fuzzy socks and tall brown boots.

RIGHT NOW I AM:::
Sitting here typing this up. A and H are eating apples and watching "Paw Patrol". Baby A is napping. Bill is asleep after working overnight last night. I am also overthinking a lot of things. :(

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE:::
It looks okay. There are legos all over the living room floor from the babysitting kiddos. There are breakfast dishes on the counter and in the sink of the kitchen. I am currently sitting at my desk and it is a disaster.

ON TODAY'S TO DO LIST:::
Kids to school
Babysit
Possibly take GusGus to the vet?
Ben has speech therapy
Rebecca has play practice

  1. Hang in there, I know how you feel. I am staring at a huge pile of alterations and I feel like going back to bed.

  2. I don't want to alarm you, but is GusGus trying to do his business around the house and not in his litterbox? If he is he needs to go to the vet for sure. Male cats are prone to crystals which are like kidney stones for humans. They can cause a blockage, which can be fatal. I hope I am wrong but from what you have described it might be. I have a cat that got them when he was younger and we almost lost him.

  3. I hope GusGus is feeling better! I have 3 kitties and one of them has been acting funny. Heading to the vet with him. Your menu for the week sounds delicious! I'm interested to see how your new recipe turns out. Have a great week and stay warm!

  4. I love the idea of the 'same' picture every week! My kids had no school today, and the next few days aren't looking promising either. Winter waited, but it's here now with a vengance!

  5. Hope both you and your cat are feeling a bit better by now. Not sure why you have an oops by your breakfast choice, eggs, cocoa...all healthy ;) It's already getting colder here. Hope you stay warm and have a great week ahead!
