It's December... Blogmas Christmas is here...

A couple of years ago our friend Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom,hosted a "Blogmas" for the month of December. Basically, it was a mixture of blogging and Christmas, where she gave daily prompts and you could join on the fun. I did join in almost daily when she hosted it 2 years ago. 

Well, she is hosting another one this year. I have decided that, while I don't think I want to HAVE to blog about certain things on certain days, I will try to participate sometimes. 

Sandra kicked things off today with the post "The Christmas Tag." Basically, it is a list of Christmas themed questions that all you to get to know each other a little better. I thought I would join in today and get this month started off on a good foot! 

✨Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie? It is probably a toss up between different versions of "A Christmas Carol." I love the Patrick Stewart version, but also like the George C. Scott version. 

✨Whats Your Favorite Christmas Color? Honestly, I love the combos of red, green, white and silver all mixed together in some form.
 

✨Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas? We stay in our PJs for gift opening in the  morning. Then we change into regular clothes to go to my parent's house. I usually wear jeans, boots and a dressier sweater. We used to dress up (like for church) when I was younger and while it was nice, it kind of took away from the relaxed atmosphere that we love Christmas to be). 

✨If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be? I would probably cheat and buy my husband and kids a gift that our family could share ;-)

✨Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning? Santa's elves bring a present on Christmas Eve (new pajamas) for everyone while we are out looking at Christmas lights. He comes to check that everything is ready for Santa's arrival. The other presents get put under the tree after the kids are in bed asleep and then all presents are opened Christmas morning.  

✨ What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break? I tend to take the weeks that my kids are home from school off from tutoring, so I can spend time with them and start organizing the house for the new year and just enjoy the season.

✨Any Christmas Wishes? For peace and for the end of negativity.

✨Favorite Christmas Smell? Cinnamon and chocolate

✨Favorite Christmas Meal Or Treat? Kolacky and Poppy Seed Roll 
 
✨What are you doing for the holidays this year? Christmas Eve we will probably go out to dinner and then drive around looking at lights. Christmas day we will be at home for most of the day. We will have a gathering with my side of the family later in the day.  

✨What’s your favorite holiday drink? Peppermint Hot Chocolate
   
✨Candy cane or Gingerbread men? Candy Cane
 
✨What’s your favorite holiday/Christmas song? Mary, Did you Know?
  
✨What is most important to you about the holidays? It is a time to remember that we are family and to remember that Jesus came to the world to save us. It is a time to reach out to help those who need help and to bless others. It is a time to remember that family is everything.
