We are a Christian family. I have tried to get Bible themed books at times for my children as regular, old fashioned Bibles are dry and not really appreciated by the younger crowd. However, now that my daughter is 10 and is getting into older things and growing up, I felt it was appropriate to get her a new Bible that is more grown-up but would still be good for her to use. Enter the NIV Holy Bible for Girls: Journal Edition by Zondervan.
This beautiful Bible is perfect for preteens and girls and women older. I adore the outside cover and believe that it is just right for that stylish girl in your life.

Inside, there is an introductory page that explains that this Bible gives you ample room to journal, color, doodle, etc. while you are reading. It is a place to explore the stories of the Bible while being you!

Each page has ample room for coloring, doodling, writing, really space for a girl to place her thoughts and dreams.

My daughter and I both love the color scheme of this version. It has a pink elastic to keep the Bible closed and a turquoise bookmark so that she can hold her place.

Overall, I would highly recommend this Bible for that girl in your life who is artistic and/or who loves to journal and dream and think.

DISCLAIMER::: I received this book for free from Handlebar Marketing in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

  1. What a great concept! I know a lot of adults who would love something like this to jot notes or questions about specific passages.

    1. I know. I debated keeping it for myself.
