Official Starting Weight (1/3/18): 241.0
My weight this week: 237.0
Total weight loss for 2018: -4.0 pounds! :-) :-)
Yay a big loss this week! Makes me happy! This past week I really focused on drinking lots of water, not snacking, and eating at least 2 meals a day. I have gotten in the bad habit of not eating and then the day goes on and I am famished so I grab something sugary to get me through. Not a great way to eat and definitely not good for my waistline. I also haven't had any fast food since New Year's Eve and that helps too! ;) I did well this week with eating meals and only doing minimal snacking. I find that at night is when I really want sugary stuff-- chocolate, chips, etc. This is usually when the kids are in bed and I am trying to get some work stuff done for the next day. I have decided to try making some hot chocolate and drinking that to see if that helps curb those cravings. I did this last night and it did work. So overall a good diet week.

On the exercise front: I mentioned in my 2018 goals post that I wanted to walk 3 days a week. Since there are 52 weeks in a year, that means my goal is to walk 156 times over the course of the year.
This week, I was able to get out and walk 2 days. I took a short walk on Saturday when I took the family out to see the frozen Honey Run waterfalls.
Then yesterday, Bill and I got to take a good 3 mile walk in the snow (and the temperature was around 34 degrees). It was definitely a workout as the trail was snow covered and icy, so you had to really be careful. It felt so great to get out in the fresh air.
These 2 walks mean that I only have 154 more walks to take for the year! LOL
So that was this week's Weigh In Wednesday. If you are trying to lose weight or get healthier, how is your journey going so far?
Sounds like a successful week! We're still struggling to get back into routines over here (every January) so my week didn't go quite as well. And the scale showed it this morning, yikes! Yesterday was nice enough here to go for a nice walk though so not a complete loss.
ReplyDeleteIt was really warm here today... 57 degrees...but rainy, and I had a lot of work to do today so no walk. Supposed to have ice and snow tomorrow with highs on Saturday being 17. You have to love winter weather here in Ohio. LOL
DeleteYou go! Great job :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGood job. Try getting some of those protein drinks at Costco or sam's club. They only have 120 calories and a lot of protein. Then get a fit met. Worth it's weight in gold. You can see how many minutes you have worked out and track your steps. Amazing invention. Weight loss is hard and maintaining a weight loss is harder, I know because that 10 lbs I lost before Christmas is back.
ReplyDeleteI am actually starting to save up for a fit bit. I really do want one, just need to save up for one.
